But the complexity of what Siemens does means their work is full of industry jargon and tech terms. The brand needed a way to showcase their capabilities and results without overwhelming the audience. We were tasked to design and write the infographics for their case studies in a way that explains their process in a simple and easy to understand manner, while driving engagement towards their website.

Our main objective was to effectively promote the awareness of Siemens’ impact in Southeast Asian economy and society. By using specific case studies and references, we could do just that and more.

While keeping in mind the tonality and visual treatment of the Siemens brand, we started off with breaking down what each case study is all about. What’s the purpose of this particular Siemens’s solution? What components make up this solution, and what does each component do? What’s the overall benefit of the solution?

Then, to emphasise how each solution has been carefully done up by Siemens and their client, we explored different infographic styles to present the relevant information. And prioritised picking the style that best communicates the key messaging: the good that Siemens is doing.

We also went a step further to use isometric illustrations, colours that reflect technology and Siemens’ futuristic outlook as a brand, and slight animations in each infographic. We wanted the visuals to be as interesting and creative as the case studies being showcased.

And with this, we are able to tie it all together – Siemens’ technological advanced solutions to today’s challenges, their need to reach the everyday person, and their goal of having visually-arresting infographics to clearly communicate their global impact.
